Breakin' ankles...

I think I actually broke this dude’s ankle this morning playing soccer…most of ya’ll are at least a little familiar with an Iverson “cross-over” – well this dude is now familiar with the Finch cross-over – yep, I just patented it, right there…it’s official…

We play a fenced in version of soccer on a basketball ball court with little goals every Wednesday for PT in the morning – we played basketball for a long time, but this is something that damn near every Korean is good at, thus more fun…anyway, we play the engineer section nearly every week and this being my final Wednesday here, there was a bit of a build up I guess for this game…

So usually I get passed guys by running the ball up the sides and using the fence to pass the ball by a defender and quickly run around the poor guy…kinda like hockey....well – they’ve now figured this out…that being said I have to bring the ball to the middle a little more…

Well this dude came out on me in open space and I broke his ankle – fake right, drag the ball quickly back to the left, then faking back to the left with the ball never leaving my right foot – (or somethin' like that) - he was down on the ground – it was awesome…he just crumbled – it was, as they say in the soccer world – Brilliant!

Alright maybe not broken – but it’s definitely a nice sprain – he left the court…removed his shoe and sock and eventually went to the medical place…I don’t know why that gives me some sort of enjoyment or feeling of fulfillment…it was just one of those – wholly-crap-did-I-just-do-that-moments…

Anyway – just thought I’d share that…and we lost 2-1…selah!
